FROM OUR ARTIST SERIES
*in collaboration with Marin artist ANNU YADAV*
ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Annu Yadav is a California based visual artist who grew up in India. Her paintings and wearable sculptures reflect her fascination with the deep inner strength and contemplation of the feminine.
Her work takes a reflective view of the social, political and cultural challenges faced by women. Specifically interpreting how their imprints are felt on an individual.
Her artwork inspects this relational tension between the self and the observer. The strength and endurance of the self and expressing effect of the other.
We are a Sausalito-based sustainable clothing company that pivoted from making pretty dresses to functional face masks.
MaskTopia masks are designed for ultimate protection, with comfort and function in mind. We manufacture in Mexico.
We donate one mask for every mask sold.
Our clients include several local institutions like: Equator Coffees, Urban Remedy, National Park Service, Restoration Hardware, Blue & Gold Fleet (the SF Ferry) and Hudson Grace. They chose our design because of it's comfort, the ease with which their staff is still able to converse with their clients while wearing the masks, and the potential to add extra protection with the Nano Fiber Filter option.
Our mask has a velcro strap behind the head, which makes it easy to wear and to "let it hang" when you aren't using it.
We are collaborating with a number of MARIN-based artists to help them get through this tough time. The purchase of this mask will help support this artist!
